I have been trying to write this blog post for 2 weeks now.  I just realized that I jump from one writing project to another, and I can’t seem to focus on one task. Maybe that is my problem in dedicating a few minutes to write this blog post.  I have had several blog journals online with different pseudonyms, and sometimes I do wish that I had a fictitious name to go by to write many loud perspectives instead of my personal blog. I then realized that I have nothing different to say here than anywhere else. I try to not get into politics (not my speciality) since I don’t want to dedicate my time theorizing ways to solve world problems. It’s not my job, but I just want to say one thing, we are all immigrants living here carrying a long history in our blood, and we just want another chance in life. That’s all.

Now for the good part. I know web programming. I have been doing it for several years and I tend to enjoy it at times, and I wonder how some companies view this talent. Do these companies want someone to do a mediocare job, or are there so many people with this skill set that it is below average or common, or a 10 years old can figure out how to do it too at ease? So why specify that your company is looking for a university graduate then? Some companies mystify me.

A couple of weeks ago I was emailed by someone to do a web programming job, and obviously at a very low wage. This person stopped talking to me 2 years ago. They decided to email me out of the blue without an apology or explanation and ask for my services. What do you think my answer was? In other words, I don’t have time to dedicate hours of one line email communications during all waking hours while working full time and doing graduate papers. I simply have no time dedicated to do anything else. Well, television and Netflix are important too, but who is judging? 😉 I simply ignored the email, and the next day, I got a call from this person asking why I didn’t answer the email right away. Was I supposed to or I needed time to think about the consequences since I am so SLOWWWW? (Yeah right!) I love it when people only remember you when they need something, but to be your friend and ask you to meet up for a cup of coffee or latte is too much.

Anyways, back to work and then working on my course’s project.

Focus!
